About a million people have said to me, "You'd better get your sleep now before the baby comes." :) It's like telling a little one to sleep on Christmas Eve. I just can't do it!
You should see the little outfit I got yesterday! It's so beautiful! Our digital camera broke yesterday (can you believe it?? I have to get another one - this is like the picture summit of life!), but I'll post a pic of the outfit as soon as I can.
I'm so thankful for this opportunity, and I'm trusting that it will happen (how can it not when Mel had two 2 year olds praying for it? What's closer to God than that? :), but I'm a bit nervous. Much less so than last time. And I also have to admit that I feel a sense of sadness for A. She is very secure in her decision, but I know she's going to hurt so much after this. You can't be human and not feel deep sadness at a mother leaving the hospital without the baby she just delivered. It hurts me so much. I'm really battling with being over the moon excited, feeling nervous and hesitant, and feeling guilty that I will be granted a family at another's expense...and now I feel guilty for posting anything that's not just full of elation. I am SOOOO excited:)
I'll say it again, you guys are the greatest. I've saved and printed out every single email and comment to put in the baby's book. I want her to see how much she is wanted and how supportive this community is. She will be able to read all the warmth, support, and love from this community of women, and I think that is so important. Happy Sunday! :)

I'm so excited for you. Just "spreading the love" by leaving a comment!
I have been reading your blog for awhile now, and I am so excited for you.
My DH and I just adopted a newborn girl also. And like you we did not have much time to prepare. We got the call from our agency on the 13th of Feb that she was due on the 17th...she did end up coming late (on the 26th of Feb)...
Please feel free to check out my blog (http://justmefran.blogspot.com) or email me (franchandler at gmail dot com) if you need to freak out about how quick things are coming, because I understand!
Congratulations!
-Fran =)
Do you have a name for this little angle?
Well, I have sunk to an all-time low. I have officially become your blog stalker. LOL! Good grief. I need a life! :)
Do you have a name picked out? We had Cason for days before he was named! Duh...... heehee. ;)
Oh, how I wish your camera wasn't broken! GO! Buy one now!
Well? What are you waiting for?
Can't wait! :)
I wouldn't be able to sleep either!
I'm just catching up on everything - OMG, how exciting! I'm anxious for you and can't wait to hear more.
You are at the top of my prayer list tonight. Im also sending a HUGE VIRTUAL HUG your way. Im so absolutely thrilled for you!
Holy moley... I am so fricken excited for you!!! I have tears in my eyes. I have been back in my house all of 20 minutes but I just had to turn on the computer.
I think the fact that you have spoken with A and she wants to meet you is a positive sign. She wouldn't be getting you guys to come all the way to Utah if she wasn't serious.
But yes, it is still going to be hard on her. And while you are feeling this incredible elation, a part of your heart will weep right along with her - it just means you are human.
Oh, I am so excited!!!
No tips on airfare per se, but check out the internet. We found the lowest prices easily that way and then contacted a travel agent to have them book it.
I am so happy for you guys. And I won't be giving you any lame advice such as "get your sleep!" LOL.
I am so excited for you! You and DH deserve this so much!
Yipee!!!!!!!!!
Feel free to e-mail me if you have any questions about what to bring with you etc. Since we didnt' have anything and only had 1 day to get ready, we only had teh bare essentials with us, and it worked out great.
Oh MY GOSH!!!!! I am so excited for you. Obviously still cautiously opptimistic but still. This is all so exciting. I was thinking about you Friday night while in my bed with bronchitis from hell!!!!
I have been following your journey for quite some time and I can't wait to hear what happens next!!!
OH MY GOODNESS!!!! I have been too busy to read my waiting blogs in a few days - WOW!!! God bless you/dh, the baby and the biomom! It is a double edged sword but the best thing you can do for that biomom is to be VERY happy and love that baby as much as you can. It will be hard on her but she seems to have thought this out and she must know it's the best thing for her and the baby. WOW -- I'll be watching - CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
