Seriously. The teeth are coming in like wildfire. The top two on either side of the front teeth are pushing through and now the ones on the side of the bottom front are little red mounds in her mouth. Needless to say, it's been a tearful time at our house. She was up for nearly two hours in the middle of the night last night just crying and crying. Stupid mom - GET THE MOTRIN!!! :) So today we're keeping better tabs on that. And bedtime is coming early for both of us!
I don't want to say much about this because it's still a new movie and I don't want to ruin it for those of you who want to see it, but I saw "Baby Mama" on Sunday. I absolutely love Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, but I fought anger and a few tears during a few instances in the film. On the other hand, I laughed harder than I have in a long time at other parts. So, I have mixed feelings. I think the way I felt about certain parts of the movie must be how some birth moms felt about "Juno." It was hard for me to understand their feelings until I saw "Baby Mama." It's hilarious, again, but I can't get past the way some of the infertility stuff was handled. Enough said for now because I don't want to ruin it - email me if you want to chat about it!
Off to put the girl to bed. With motrin. And maybe a shot of whiskey. KIDDING!! Don't call the authorities. :)

YOU MINX! How did you manage to see a movie?? WITH A TEETHING CHILD? Where did you drop her off at, the library? :)
I want to see it now. I felt mixed abotu it, but now...I have to see it.
Sorry about the teeth. Tis the season.
poor baby :-( Hopefully they break through soon and she's feeling better fast. I don't know how you feel about it, but my parents would rub our gums with a bit rum (just dip your finger tip in and rub her gums). My parents and grandparents swear by it!
I can't decide whether to go see Baby Mama...I had mixed feelings about Juno.
I agree with Jess--how, exactly, did you get out to see a movie?? We haven't been since June!!
Anyway, I remember the "Motrin" stage very well--it just became routine for a few weeks...be strong!
Ohhhhhhhh I want to see both of these movies! I haven't seen either. I think I'll rent them (when the new one is released anyway).
I love Motrin! Poor baby. It's really rough stuff on them.
Want to join my board again? Laurie is emailing you.
Anyone else who wants to join an all girl message board email me: amazingjourney@sbcglobal.net. It's fun!
Thanks for the advertisement Kat! LOLOL! Didn't really mean to do that... :)
Maybe you should try the whiskey!
Aww- sorry for the teething woes. We were up a lot of last night with a bad cold. Poor E!
Poor girl! Izzy has the same thing, the two on either side of the top two are coming in.
It is funny that you say that about that movie because I actually have only seen teh previews and had no desire to see the movie because I had a feeling I would be offended by the infertility stuff about it......maybe I will rent it but maybe not. Thanks for sharing your opinion though!
Yes.... Motrin. If I'd known then what I know now, I would have bought shares in the company long before our teething woes started. I sometimes feel like we are single handedly keeping the company afloat. Glad to hear it at least helps.
Haven't seen Baby Mama yet but I think I'll wait for that one on video.
I just stumbled across your blog, but am really enjoying it! Thanks for being so open with your thoughts! I am also an infertile, adoptive, stay at home mom, that's what drew me to your site. And I live in the midwest. I think we have a few things in common! We are starting to think about adopting again, which is exciting and scary at the same time! It is so true how our babies grow in our hearts!!
You have probably been told this before (maybe by me) but have you tried the Hyland's Teething Tablets?
Hyland's Teething Tablets were the best for us during the molar stages. And before that, I used the Boiron (I think) Camilia Teething Drops. Better than Tylenol!
