It's happening again. The nap wars have returned to the household. And I am no fan of the nap wars. Lily sleeps great at night for the most part. Last night, she was up from 4:45 until 6:15. AM. She fought her morning nap for about an hour and finally slept for about 45 min. and same goes for the afternoon nap. She is very tired; it's obvious. She has sleepy, red eyes, sucks her thumb, lays down on the floor in the living room - the girl is TIRED. But the second she goes to her crib, she either fusses or starts playing. What is her deal? Do you think she's ready to just go to one nap a day? When do most babies do that? It's such a cliche, but don't you wish there was an instruction manual with EXACTLY the right thing to do? It's the trial and error that's tough!
Maybe she was just excited that it was her birthday. :)

Hey! My Caibry does that at 12 1/2 weeks! What gives with these girls? I say - remove toys from crib! :) :)
I would give her some motrin and see if they helps. Sounds like it could be teeth.
I agree, it does sound like it could be teeth. Ava's been like that lately, too, and she just cut three top teeth.
HOWEVER, she's been on one nap a day for a long time now. One LONG nap, but one (11-3ish).

If it's the teeth, it makes sense she doesn't want to lay down (more pressure that way). MAM went down to one nap around a year, if I remember correctly. Hang in there!
Annsley is 13 months old now and, most days, she is now just doing one nap a day. It is usually from about noon to three so it is a good, long nap. (Gotta love those LONG naps!!!) Maybe that is the deal with Miss Lily. She just needs one nap! I might try the Motrin thing for teething just in case, though. Good luck girl!

I should have given you a call, LG is getting up at night again too.
From what I have read, most babies go to one nap a day around a year. It varies from kid to kid though. I don't have real world experience to back this up though.
Ah, the nap wars. I thought we were the only household battling this. It drives me nuts...
